Woodwork and Fabrication

My woodworking practice blends sculptural design with functional craft, focusing on clean forms and natural materials. I create custom-built pieces ranging from round scalloped-base tables and cedar platforms for sweetheart tables to large-scale scenic elements like a sunburst backdrop for outdoor installations.

Each piece is built with a combination of precision and intuition — balancing structural integrity with a sense of warmth and presence. The sun backdrop, for example, features layered wood panels and radiating dowels designed to interact with light in an open landscape, creating a natural focal point.

Over the years, I’ve become comfortable and confident using a full range of power tools, including saws, drills, sanders, and planers. This hands-on familiarity allows me to move fluidly from concept sketch to finished structure, ensuring both craftsmanship and safety throughout the process. My workspace often reflects this rhythm — part workshop, part studio — where wood, design, and function meet.
